EL SALVADOR - VOLCAN ILAMATEPEC - DESPUES DE ERUPCION:SSA05 - SANTA ANA (EL SALVADOR), 12/10/05. - Vista aérea del cráter del volcán Ilamatepec, más conocido como Santa Ana hoy, miércoles 12 de octubre, después de su erupción el pasado 1 de octubre, causando la muerte de dos personas. La Fundación Ecológica de El Salvador "Salvanatura" informó que la pasada erupción de piedras y cenizas del volcán de Santa Ana destruyó un total de 955 hectáreas de bosques, además de acabar con 173 hectáreas de "hábitat perturbado" que es aquél en el cual el ser humano ha intervenido, de éstas, 142 hectáreas eran cafetales, 27 dedicadas a cultivos de flores y 3 de cipreses que tardarán aproximadamente de 70 a 100 años en recuperarse.
